I can't believe it's July. Dude, the time. It flew by 0_0
I've been busy lately, hence the 'not updating constantly' (not that I ever did that, but I should try to make it a point to post at least once a week. Or twice).
Summer school started.
And UCLA? Fantastic place. The architecture of the buildings around here is amazing. It's better than UCI, IMO. (Also my class is in held in the library and it's right across from Royce Hall, where I think they filmed some exterior scenes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 4. Just FYI.)
I'm sort of regretting not actually going to UCLA from community college, but I'm happy with UCI, honestly. UCLA is just too big for me to handle. I don't think I would want to live in LA or at UCLA. I like UCI and its circular layout and the fact that I can just take the 79 bus to there and back.
For summer school, I'm taking this van pool that picks me up in a spot relatively close to my house. So I have to wake up super early in the morning so that way I can actually wake up (this morning I woke up at 4:30), and then the van pool takes off at 5:50. I sleep on the way to UCLA, and then it picks me up again in the afternoon. It's cheaper (for me) than driving. And plus the traffic? Sucks. As in totally. Mostly in the afternoon. Mostly on Friday. (Someone from class asked me how I could do that and TBH I have no idea. I just wake up at 4:30, and somehow by the time I'm actually up and standing I'm usually awake. It's the sleeping in the van on the way that gets me through the day, and the coffee. Sometimes I can get by on very little sleep. Though today I did sleep in until 8 AM, which was quite nice.)
And then at school I have free time in the morning until 10, which is when my class starts. It goes until 11:30, then there's an half hour break, then I have class from 12 PM to 1:50, another break and then another 50 minutes of class.
The class goes by fast. It's just I'm always nervous of making a single mistake because that's just me. And it seems like everyone else in the class is more advanced than me, but that's because they had another teacher and they're all mostly UCLA students. There's only one other person in the class besides me that doesn't go to UCLA, though she goes to Berkely. But it's only week 2. I expect to get better as the class progresses.
(The tutor? We have tutoring once a week and she speaks to us in Russian the entire time. I'm not complaining. Except the first time I had tutoring I barely could understand a single thing. This past Tuesday when I had the tutoring again I understood the conversation better. So...yeah.)
So yeah, that's what I've been up to lately. School.
Last Thursday night I went to this community class for beginner guitar, because I really want to learn how to play guitar, and that was a nice class. I learned a few chords. The class lasts for 5 weeks, so it should be nice to get away and have a class besides Russian that I can look forward to.
I'm also still doing yoga at the local yoga studio, although last week I didn't go at all because I was busy and tired (slightly), but this week I'm going to try to make it a plan to go at least twice, or maybe once. I just want to keep up with the yoga, because it offers me relief from the stress of daily life and such and it's nice and calming and soothing.
I've been doing some WL challenges. I'm making a music video, which I really should work on, but I worked on most of it before school started. All I really have to do is edit it, change a few clips around, put some special effects on it (like maybe brighten it or do something with the color), and then turn it in. But, if I may say so myself, it's a really good music video. Maybe not one of my best but it's really good.
I saw Brave recently. I thought it was good. Personally, I liked it. Yeah...that's my review. I'm not much one to give reviews of films nowadays.
I really should continue that 100 things challenge. I've totally forgotten about that. I'll do that sometime this week. This post was just a 'hi I'm busy this is what I'm doing bye' kind of post.
