Burnt Mountain

Good Afternoon,

I apologize in advance for replying in English. I certainly for 25 years being here haven't forgotten Russian. It's just between work computer, and home computer, and smartphone is much easier to use QWERTY than Translit.ru. I feel like I am typing in Chinese when use Translit.ru.

To encourage you, I can only tell that climbing is a very important skill. And in order to improve you should definitely come out of "3 sisters" rat and taste some smaller climbs in North Georgia. For starters, NEVER EVER unclip in the middle of the mountain. My first coach use say: you ride until you see Jesus running next to you, and then you ride again... Everyone suffers even Contador and Froome. It's just matter of how intense you ride and what are your goals.

I use to coach a small spin class at REI during winter. I will be honored if you ever decide to see how the categorized climbs in North GA look like.

Thank you and have safe riding.
Vadim

"I feel like I am typing in Chinese when use Translit.ru." =))))) I see ya!

As for the English - no problem at all , I'm bilingual, got English hardcoded in my mind at the age of 16 and living with it ever since. Moreover it's a pleasure to meet a Russian-speaking person wired same way. As opposed to the question I get sometimes "Why are you speaking English" from some of my local Russian friends

see, why I am about the hills - I do need them for some goals for the next year. Will definitely keep in touch,

cause it's like:

=)

feeling like an Ugly-Ducky suddenly discovered that there's a whole world of crazies like me out there :)

Thank you for accepting me as a friend.

I would not say submissively "ugly-duckling" What you are doing is absolutely "masochistic", strenuous sport activity. I would not like to ride a 102 ITT crouching on aero-bars by myself against the wind and then run.

The cycling world of Atlanta is actually pretty small. I know some people for years because we met somewhere sometimes either on centuries, or group rides, or some social events. Once you start regularly show on some group rides people get to know you, or more likely they know your bike brand and color of your helmet...

This is the nice time to start working on your conditioning. The active season is almost over. Everyone is slowing down and starting to ride long winter-based miles.

Definitely keep in touch. Hopefully you I'll have a pleasure to ride with you one day and show something more interesting than three sisters climb.

Keep you rubber side of bike down.
-V

Aero-bars are awesome! It's practically a sofa! =) Much easier for me then hanging on to the bike by hands

about the slowing down.. emmmm.... it's actually right the start of the trail running season, can't wait to get back to the trails :)

about some ride - will be back to riding in mid-November, and some SCT at Sundays before that , I guess.
