"Childhood scenes rushed back at me out of the night, strangely close and urgent. Today I know that such memories are the key not to the past, but to the future. I know that experiences of our lives, when we let God use them, become the mysterious and perfect preparation for the work He will give us to do."

After I read it, I aborbed it the way I said it before the lj-cut. Before anybody digs out his or her soap boxes, it's not a religous matter- I also struck the childhood part.

God, do I love the smell of old books.

*smiles, then runs off to bed with the book that is decades older* (And for the record, when I say book, I mean book- not man... *smirk*)

Oddly enough, I'm jonesing for a cigarette and a drink right about now. The drink actually not being vodka... I think I'm feeling bourbon tonight. And of course I'd know how to pick a cigaratte, being as I don't smoke. Fortunately I have neither the money nor the energy to go buy anything right now. Insurance comes out of my account tomorrow, and dad was kind enough to repay some debt so I wouldn't overdraw. *rolls eyes* I swear, after getting all of my money back, I'm not loaning anybody another dime until they can prove they can have it back within a month, or put up some damn good collateral... maybe even both. It's about time I return to my shrewd business-woman ways.

I think I may be a prime candidate for Strattera....
