New Idea
I've been working on my Spike/Wesley story "Changing Fate" again, and I've just had a great new idea. Over the course of developing this fic I've grown quite fond of my original characters Henry and Emily. So I've decided to get them more involved than I'd originally planned.
I thought about how they look and I realized that I've always pictured them in my head like this:
Henry looks like Matthew Goode
And Emily looks like Helen Baxendale
She played Ross Gellar's wife Emily on "Friends".
So there's that.
Now, as for the new idea I've had, it's this. Don't read on if you want no spoilers. It's the entire rest of the story's plot I'll be revealing under the cut.

I've decided to let the just-staked-Spike re-materialize not in Wesley's office (where he should appear since he started his journey from there) but... in London. Not in the place where he was killed (because it would be too complicated to let him get out of there again- since it's the Watchers' Headquarters), but somewhere nearby. I don't know yet where exactly.
But he will return to his own time (January 2004) in London and so he has to find help (again) to get back to Wesley. And who does he know in London who can help him? Of course, Henry and his wife. Although he knows they won't remember him or what happened in the Archive four years ago.
But Spike goes to their house, and it happens to be the twins' birthday that day. And... surprise, who opens the door when he knocks? A little girl named Aurelia June :-)
And, somehow, this little girl knows who Spike is and that he was coming. Huh? Yes, she knows. She dreamt of him multiple times and has told her parents about it but they didn't believe her. But now, seeing Spike there, they believe and they agree to travel to LA with him.
And then they're at Wolfram & Hart. And it goes from there.
I don't have time now to write up the rest but... just remember: There's the issue of the boy's name and there's the song. That's all you need to know for now.
God, I hope I'll manage to someday finish the story.
