I'm running out of time, again. Damn.
Today is the last day of my 14-day-vacation and I have to admit that (although I got quite a lot of stuff done) there were times that I was bored out of my mind. I had no idea what to do with all that free time, or rather... I didn't feel like doing stuff that I knew I could and should do (like cleaning windows or brushing up my work knowledge).
And this morning, suddenly, I felt the need to re-read one of my oldest unfinished fics.
Changing Fate. My most favorite one, the only one I'm still determined to finish one day (despite the fact that I started writing it over 10 years ago and the fandom doesn't even exist anymore).
So I browsed through what I'd published so far (fanfiction.net is the only place that baby of mine still exists) and suddenly I remembered how I've always wanted to finish it. Or at least how to continue it. I'm still not quite clear on the ending (other than that it'll be a happy one) but I know now how Wesley and Spike suddenly remember.
And I don't have time to write anything. Damn it!
Over the next few days I'll be very busy with work. I've got to introduce a new co-worker to our work, to my patients and I've got to explain everything to her because she'll be taking over my tour and my patients.
I'm going to not have one tour anymore, I'll be the 'jumper' once she takes over. Meaning, I'll be doing the tour and patients of everyone else whenever I'm needed (when someone is sick or on vacation). I'm the fill-in.
Anyway, the next few days or weeks will be busy and I can't do any writing.
Isn't it always like this?
