What Is It About Christmas Songs...
... that makes me cry every year anew?
Seriously, what?
Every year, when I listen to my favorite Christmas Songs for the first time (and I mean really listen, consciously), I start crying! And it's not that I'm sad, no. These are tears of joy. But why?
I'm not feeling especially christmassy right now and I don't even know why I started listening to my youtube Christmas playlist in the first place.
But as soon as I heard "O Holy Night" in the wonderful Vampire Diaries version (from last season - you know, the scene when Klaus was killing those twelve hybrids - or werewolves - whatever)... as soon as I heard that my eyes started to water and a smile was spreading across my face.
I don't get it. But it's nice.
