Once again it is proven that the build-up to a relationship, the chase, the unrequited feelings, the flirting and the UST is much more interesting to watch than the actual happy ending.
The moment those two people that you've loved watching dance back and forth with all that 'will-they-won't-they', actually become a couple... it stops being good.

I've felt that way before, and one of the best examples for it was Mary/Matthew of Downton Abbey, and now it was proven once again with Damon/Elena on Vampire Diaries.
I've lost interest in them. I don't want to see them as a couple. I want them back to the way they were in Season 1 or 2. This is just... boring.
Although they're not a happy couple right now, far from it actually, and still I've lost interest.

In tonight's episode I was much more interested in seeing Klaus and Caroline. Whenever we were shown scenes of those on the island I found myself shouting at the screen to go back to the Gilberts' house. "Go back to Klaus and Caroline! I wanna see what's going on with them! Who cares about the cure and Professor Shadypants and Damon's issues with Elena... show me Klaroline!"
That was all I could think about.

Oh, and btw... happy birthday to me :-)
