Today I started my usual "Watch-New-Episodes-Friday" with "The Big Bang Theory" and one thing happened in this new episode that I think is worth remembering:
From today on Will Wheaton is no longer Sheldon's mortal enemy. Sheldon changed his opinion on a party at Will Wheaton's house where he also met Brent Spiner (who played Data on Star Trek).
Another thing I noticed during the episode is that Penny no longer dyes her hair. The blond has mostly grown out and she's now a darker natural blonde.
Besides that nothing of consequence happened and therefore I move on to watching "The Vampire Diaries".
Okay, first of all: My friend was wrong. We had a bet going about Rebekah being secretly smuggled into the school as a new teacher or new student. An undercover thing, or something like that. Apparently that didn't happen (yet). And now that she and Klaus are gone again I hope it never will. So I was right and won the bet.
Other than that... I have very mixed feelings about this episode. I'm kinda disappointed in a few things. These are:
# No Alaric in this episode. It's a small thing but I missed him, I always do when he's not around.
# No 'Waking-Of-Elijah' again. Seriously, when are they gonna release him? I miss him so dearly! I'd love to see Elijah team up with Damon, grow closer to Elena, and go against Klaus and Rebekah. But I guess we'll have to wait a bit longer for that to happen since Klaus took off again (and obviously took his truck of coffins with him). Too bad, I miss him.
# Matt's death didn't stick. I'm so sick and tired of the Matt-Drama and I just want him to be gone. I really hope that he decided to leave town (wishful thinking; now that he can see Vicky I know he'll stick around - and Vicky, too).
# Stefan now has the excuse going on that 'Klaus made him do it'. Klaus compelled him to shut off his emotions and go back to being a full-blown-ripper. And now everything he's gonna do will later be blamed on Klaus. I understand that the writers needed a loophole for Stefan, he needs to be able to come round again but... this? So lame! Now everyone will forgive him for all the bad things he's gonna do. The parallels to Angel/Angelus keep growing. You know what I mean, right?
Okay, that's the disappointments I suffered. Some other facts that I'm yet undecided about are:
# Katherine. I feel like the character has outgrown her storyline. She no longer has a purpose. She's no longer a temptation for Damon to sway him in his love for Elena, she's no longer a threat to Elena or Jeremy or... anybody really. So... I think I wouldn't be too surprised if she were the first to get killed by that vampire hunter Michael they woke up.
# Then there's Tyler as a hybrid now. I'm not sure yet whether I like that or not. Guess we'll see.
# Now, that Michael. A vampire that's also a hunter. I suspect he's another Original and I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be the oldest brother. I don't think he's the father of the Originals... I simply can't see that being the case. I vote for older brother. And at first I was surprised that he wasn't entombed in one of Klaus' coffins as well but... of course that would make no sense. Klaus and Rebekah wouldn't be on the run from him if they had him stashed away now, right? So... I guess it makes sense that he'd be in a regular tomb. But why in Mystic Falls? Oh, well... I guess Mystic Falls is kinda like a Hellmouth. If evil is happening, it's happening there.
I guess this is all for now. I'm gonna go and read the comments of others and maybe after that I'll have to edit a few things. Wait and see.
