Goodness gracious.

Last night, Channing and Cari and Seb and Kyle and myself headed down into the fluttering heart of Tempe to listen to an author lecture at Changing Hands, which included lengthy diatribes on science and society, and I came to the realization that listening is not so exciting as participating in an exchange of lengthy diatribes on science and society. I almost bought a kazoo. My impulses betrayed me for sure.
Then, we bridged the gap between Mexican and Mexican-inspired cuisine, stopping to purchase an impromptu lake picnic at both a Filliberto's, where the cashier gave me disdainful looks for a repeat visit to the counter after my card was deemed ineffective, and a Taco Bell, where Seb reported the morale towards living was at a slight low after purchasing a delicious 89 cent crunchy taco. I proceeded to spill hotsauce across the back of Kyle's sweet ride, named Nigel, whose doorway weather stripping peels off sometimes.
The rest of the night swam by shakily. Tempe-immersion continues.

Tonight is a whole different story. I feel really, really bad about tonight, but I'll make the best of it anyway.
