We finished the refurb of the dining room this evening.

Took a long ass time, if you ask me.  You didn't, but it did nonetheless.

Why?  Well, since you're not asking I'll share:

2-3 days of peeling the existing wallpaper off of the walls.  God knows how long it had been up there.  Sprayed gooey, blueish "wallpaper remover" chemicals on the wall.  Eh.  Worked ok.  I wish I had my "tool to end all tools" during this phase.  It could've saved me a ton of time.
5 gallons worth of plaster/joint compound on the walls.  -- Existing walls made of porous sheet rock/something I've never seen before.
My best attempt at sanding down the imperfections.  And I do mean "best attempt."
And that lead to the dust.  Everywhere.  On everything.  Choking dust.  Looked like the end of Scarface in the dining room.  Minus the guns and gangsters.
Then the primer on the wall.  This is where it started getting...better.
Then came my "tool to end all tools."  It is some kind of wallpaper removal, scraper, thingee with screwdriver gizmo.  (Mentioned in step 1.)  I used this to scrape off the myriad mistakes I made along the walls, windows, woodwork, etc.  The joint compound had gotten everywhere and dried.  Nasty.
Then we painted the room a classic red-orange-kinda-rusty color.  Looks great.
Finally mopped the floor and vacuumed up all the cocaine-esque dust.

Nice to be done.

Next project:  bathroom.

Which introduces me to tiling and grouting and basic plumbing work!   Yay!

I'm so fucking domesticated.  So fuck all those ex bitch/cum stains I used to date that said I couldn't be trained.  Ha ha ha.

EDIT:  I really don't know what the fucking point is to this post.  I really had nothing else.
