I think something primary that has been forgotten as of late is the differnces between the government(note the little g) and the Government(big g here). I see government to be an idealogy. that ideology is democratic for us, meaning that the means of governing is given to the entire people. that's us folks. the second you recieve benefit from your freedom of speech, the right to bitch about this, you assume the obligation to take part in it. In four years, a blink of an eye in legislative time, we will do it again. The constitution promises me that he wont get elected next time. In the mean time, we as who individuals have different goals than those expressed by this Government's(note the big G) current magistrates. Did this concept escape the hypervenihlating minds of us who ashamed of what we did nothing to prevent. i consider the big G to be the ruling majority, in this country, demorcats or republicans.
The election this year was heavily reliant on morals, when asked, a slight majority more Americans wanted George w. Bush for four more years.
If you want a better candidate than demand it. not just to your friends in the hall or in class but to the world, get involved in local politics, make groups, join coalitions, donate your will to your beliefs and help outway the majority. this isn't something that happens every 4 years, this is something that is ongoing and incredibly volatile. our demands shape our options. if you as though you are being mis-represented than get off your ass and represent yourself.
come on folks, at least he's not smart enough to be another Stalin.
