However, there is more pressing matters to discuss; mainly the gathering within the forest

I truly do apologize, but I made a bit of a blunder.

You remember those odd little phosphorescent lilies that grew down the old sections of the H line?
I saw a patch of violet ones, and was intending to collect them...

...when I must have stepped on an unstable bit of flooring.
I can't say with any certainty, but I estimate I feel roughly two stories into pitch black.

I was blind fighting arms and teeth for almost two days before I could find an upward sloping path.

I followed that ( or more accurately, fought my way through ) for another two days until I found what may be the most ancient and oddly placed grate I have ever seen.
It was rusted through, which was lucky for I was exhausted by then, but I opened it, and found myself no longer within the bloody city even.

I have just now found a signal with the portable link, and I am somewhere due east of the city. ( I can see the lights from here.)

I promise, love, I will be hope soon.

Oh, God. It's fine, V, you don't need to apologize. I'm sorry if I sound snappish--I had no idea where you'd gone, and I thought...well, it doesn't matter.

But you're all right--you'll be able to get home on your own, love?

No need to apologize, I should have known better than to go blundering about the derelict sections like that.

I can't imagine you're in any shape to go through the tunnels by yourself right now...and I'd like to see you sooner rather than later.
