NO opening bands, no having to wait in between bands, no fans there for anyone but the Mars Volta; just them, playing from 8:30 until almost 11. the show was absolutely flawless. in fact, it was so good that they didn't even need to do an encore. the whole show was like an encore.
just ask anyone who was there... i'm sure they will tell you the same thing.

yup those kids from the mars volta community are right. It was wonderful. I got there and the line went all the fuck around the block of the wiltern. I had a Mezz ticket which was horrible. I didn't see Justina : /, but that don't matter. So i get there, got some merch, then went upstairs and some chick began talking to me. She was from Long Beach. I talked with her throughout the begining of the show. So we sit in the loge & whatnot, we managed to remain in the loge and i ended up in the front row! gah, i sorta wanted floor but guys are smelly, and i wasn't wearing the right shoes so it was ok. I got contact high from the guy next to me and i swear the architecture of the wiltern looked like it was popping out, like one of those 3D things, i dunno it was pretty. So that guy gave me his seat & ticket, i guess he knew no one was coming for the seat next to him or something. There was no opening band, just the Mars Volta!!! hmm there was this guy a couple of seats away who was dancing/moving like crazy. I thought he was gonna fall or something. One of the staff members even told him he had to be careful or something. OMY god Omar and Cedric are so wonderful. Those boys have rhythym and can move like whoa. They had 2 mexican flags and um yeah. My parents forgot about me. I called them and my dad was fucking sleeping. ahhh. hahaha i even saw the rodies packing up and whatnot. it was more than worth it though.
