I- man, tumblr just seems crazy to me right now. I get the impression that a "community" on tumblr basically amounts to tagging your post, and then a bunch of people follow that same tag? I mean I've definitely noticed some repeating names on a given tag, but otherwise it doesn't seem like a system that encourages much of a sense of intimacy. (I'm sure I just haven't spent enough time there and I'm totally wrong, but that's been my initial impression.)
I feel like I haven't been drawing for just personal/fandom fun or whatever since portfolio review!! D: I don't know what happened to me, I just couldn't get my head back into it (unless I was stuck at an artist alley table and had a little downtime to doodle). Anyway, you should check out the new Les Miserables movie if you have time! It's a pretty lavish film, lotsa BIG FEELINGS and stuff. HAHA I totally remember telling you about Valjean/the main character's backstory too! (What was that for, the food truck assignment or something?)
