So, I have been away from Live Journal or at least posting in my own space for some time. Here and there I have commented about someones shots but for the most part I have been missing in action. I have however been shooting often or at least often enough to be happy. That said I am pretty clear with how I work and why I work....not exactly clear

Funny enough, the models who I thought would be stand out weren't, and the ones I hoped might be put them to shame. Due to this I have some very stunning work, some mediocre work, and of course shots I see and wince.

i agree completely. my biggest problem was still having to send everybody something even though i thought my work with some people was less than spectacular, and certainly not up to my normal standards of shooting (which are admittedly not as good as i'd like them to be).

Yes, I think any shoot where I do not have control of the setting, etc. I could possibly produce a lot of work not up to my usual standards. This is why when I go to an event like this, I actually try to leave the venue so I can create in the space I am able to carve out. However, the very fact that so much is out of my control allows me to create in ways I would not normally...this led to quite a few stunners and the opening of some doors....the emotional jarring for me is very hard at the time but, all in all I got some very, very interesting shots.

Heheheheh....I don't mind sending every shot taken to all the ladies who modeled for me, although some are subpar, there is at least one for every lady that I think stuns....even if not, they stood in front of my lens, they gave me some of their time, they deserve to see every shoot and choose without my pre-censoring.
Hey, do you use any of the Instant Messangers? We could chat there about the shoot and show our recent Ohio Group Shoot shots there. Take care.

the only one i'll occasionally use is the one integrated in gmail. otherwise, i just don't have the time or ability to incorporate instant messaging into my multitasking anymore. it leads to me forgetting to do stupid things, like convert to srgb before saving. heh.
