Partial is complete! The first non-rough draft, anyway. I don't count my rough as an actual 'real' draft because although the basic story remains the same, the rough ends up looking very little like the first 'real' draft. I suppose, given that mentality, that I should've waited to send out agent queries until I have the first 'real' draft complete...but nah. I sent out three equeries late last night. Since it's the weekend, it'll give my first readers (yay, first readers!) a chance to read and get back to me before I get a response.
I actually *liked* this query. It turned out...well, I don't know that I'd say 'good,' really, as I still feel like it has problems. (Feel, not know or have any idea what they are.) But gobs better than any I've written in the past. I have a problem identifying the main plot. It's always there, and always large, but because I'm usually so focused on the characters as I write I tend to be blinded to it. Can't see the plot for the characters, I guess. :) I think, now I've managed it once, it should be easier to see them later on. Whew! Maybe that means queries won't be so frickin' *HARD* from now on. :D Anyway, paper queries will have to wait until I get a job and have the assurance of income so I can purchase new ink.
All I need now is to write my one- and three-page synopses. Those...I hope they get better...and easier...someday soon. Sigh.
I should probably also plot out the basics of Tabitha's story, now I've cemented everyone's ages and assured that she can have her own book as the sequel. But I also have Atlantis waiting for me...
Whatever I decide, the muse is itching to run!
