"Alright boys, line up, c'mon over this way, hey you two on the end, knock it off!" the coordinator hurried back and forth on the stage, a headset tucked securely around his neck and ear, clip board in hand as he gathered the last of the boys into position.
Caleb palmed his cell phone, edging it out of the pocket of his, in his opinion, far too tight pants. He fired off a quick text message, a slow grin curving his lips. A loud sigh of annoyance from the coordinator echoed in the wings of the stage area. The pulse of music in the auditorium was growing louder, a hum of excitement building.
He breathed out, feeling the flickers of annoyance from further down the line. He glanced at Reid, his grin widening. Reid shot him a disgruntled look and huffed aloud, tugging and fussing with the material of his shirt.
'Can't they get on with it already? This is stupid; I can't believe you even talked me into this!'
Caleb held back a snort. 'It's for charity and you agreed to do it, I didn't make you do anything,' he reminded Reid silently, his cell phone buzzing.
He looked down and read the simple message: 5 minutes, cash in hand
Pogue nudged him. "Caleb, you sure about this?" he asked. "What if..."
"Very sure," Caleb pocketed his phone in time for the flustered coordinator to hurry past him, doing a final once over on each of the ten boys. They stood in a row across the stage, each one up for an auction. The coordinator stepped off to the side as the music faded away, a cheer echoing in the hall.
Caleb glanced down the row of males, his lips quirking in amusement. Aaron caught his look and sneered at him. Caleb ran his thumb over his cell phone, chuckling softly. The sound of footsteps on the stage began, the MC for the event taking the stage.
"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, and what a morning this will be!" the MC boomed into the microphone.
Caleb listened with half an ear as the MC spoke, a heavy bass beat beginning again. He closed his eyes, concentrating. The curtains parted and a spotlight beamed down on the stage.
"And here they are, the ones you've been waiting for, the boys of Spenser Academy !"
The crowd roared as the spotlight shone over them, cheers and applause from the audience. Caleb opened his eyes, nearly wincing at the bright lights. He scanned the crowds of people, searching for Sarah and Kate, relieved when he spotted them along the first row of girls, the ones closest to the stage.
"Each one is up for auctions, ladies, and since this is for the Project Bread children's charity, let's beat our goal of a thousand dollars!" the MC waved his arm at the crowd, encouraging the cheers. "And, as a special incentive, these men have graciously agreed to be under the ownership of whoever bids the highest for the rest of today. Yes, ladies, that means you can dress them however you'd like, for the better part of this glorious morning! So bid high and help the school surpass our goal of a thousand dollars!"
Caleb looked to Sarah again. She nodded to him, an evil gleam in her eyes. He smiled widely as the auction began, each boy stepping forward and walking across the stage.

"And next we have Aaron Abbot," the MC gestured to him. Aaron strutted across the stage, a cocky smirk on his face. "What is the starting bid for the very available Aaron Abbot?"
"Fifty cents!" shouted Reid from the side of the stage, loud laughter flooding the auditorium.
Aaron glared in the direction of the shout, his eyes shining with anger. Caleb stood off to the side, waiting for his turn. He bit back a grin, his eyes following Aaron's movements. He watched Aaron stand under the spotlight, the tips of his hair curling down his neck, a flush of annoyance spreading over his cheeks. Caleb breathed out, calming his thoughts.
"Fifty cents," the MC deadpanned. "Do I hear a dollar?"
Caleb felt his phone buzz. He looked to Sarah in the front row and nodded. A girl stood up behind her, her arm raised. "Two dollars," she grinned.
"Five dollars," another girl from the other side of the crowd chimed in.
Aaron crossed his arms, huffing furiously. Caleb nodded again to Sarah. She stood up when the bidding finally crossed the hundred dollar range. "Two hundred dollars!"
"What the fuck....?" Reid elbowed Caleb. "Why the hell would Sarah want him?"
"Hush," Caleb murmured. "Just wait..."
"Five hundred," Kira jumped in, giving Sarah a dirty smile.
"Seven hundred," Sarah's cheeks flushed with determination. Kira sat down with a hiss, muttering under her breath.
"Seven hundred going once, twice..." the MC looked to the crowd, "And....Sold! For Seven hundred dollars! Please come up to the stage side and collect your prize."
Caleb smiled and stepped back from the curtains.

"Stop squirming, you want that in your eye?"
"No...No one said glitter would be involved!" Reid eyed the sharp-tipped glittery stick in Kate's hand with great hesitation. He shook his head, attempting to reason with her. "C'mon, how dumb am I gonna look with sparkly shit on my eyes?"
"I own you for today, I paid a lot of money for you and Tyler and I will do whatever I want when it comes to your makeovers," she grinned and stepped closer. "Now hold still or your pupils will have glitter on them as well."
"Don't poke me with it!" Reid gripped the stool, holding himself as steady as he could.
"Drama queen," Tyler sniffed. He sat off to the side, his eyes rimmed with liner, face made up and his hair thoroughly mussed and styled. He picked at the filmy fabric of his skirt. "At least you have pants on."
Kate snickered, exchanging smirks with Caleb, who was waiting for the girl that had bought him. "You guys think you have it bad," she said. "Wait till you see what Aaron has to wear."
"Could it be worse than a poodle skirt?" Tyler grumbled.
Kate laughed. "Much, much worse, kiddo," she said.
Caleb sat down on the stool as his owner came into the room. "I heard the word pigtails mentioned," he said with a slow grin.
"Pigtails..." Reid echoed. "God..."
"Mhm, with bright pink ribbons to hold them up," Caleb chuckled.
"Speaking of pigtails," Pogue muttered. His hair was done up, parted in the middle with yellow curly ribbons holding his own tails in place. He ignored the stifled laughter from the others, pouting as he was attacked with a powder puff.

"C'mon Aaron, you agreed to this when you signed up to the event," Sarah coaxed, her hand resting on the doorknob to the change room. "You read the contract; you knew what you were doing."
"I didn't agree to look like a cross-dressing freak!"
Sarah sighed, rubbing a hand along her forehead. "All the other guys are dolled up too," she said. "I promise..." she smiled despite her annoyance, "You look great, honest."
After a long moment, Aaron opened the door, his mouth set in a scowl. "I look like a fucked up drag queen!"
Sarah bit the inside of her cheek to keep from laughing. "Just remember, we're helping people in need by doing this," she fussed with his top, adjusting it. "We raised over five grand, you should be proud to be a part of that."
He tugged at the shorts around his waist. "Why the hell did you buy me anyway?"
"No reason that you need to know," she backed up, eyeing him. "Perfect."
"And where did you get seven hundred dollars?" he demanded.
"None of your business, now go," she ushered him towards the hallway. Aaron wobbled in his low heels, mumbling under his breath as he moved. He walked slowly, struggling to find a way to walk in his new shoes.

"Oh my god..." Tyler whispered. He tugged on Caleb's arm, his eyes alarmingly wide. "Caleb...Caleb, look!"
It took every bit of restraint Caleb had to not burst out laughing. Aaron walked with as much dignity as he could muster down the hallway, his head tilted arrogantly. Reid, however, had no restraint and laughed hysterically. He leaned on Tyler for support.
"That's...That's really some outfit," Kate laughed, her eyes watering.
Sarah grinned proudly. "Isn't it just perfect?" she said. "You wouldn't believe how hard it was to find a tube top in just the right size for him."
Aaron crossed his arms over his fuzzy blue tube top, glaring at the floor. His hair was indeed swept up in tiny pigtails, pink ribbons trailing from them. He wore a pair of white boxer shorts with red hearts printed on them, red lip gloss and glitter on his face and chest, and of course, the low heels.
Caleb smiled, eyeing him from top to bottom. It had been worth every penny.

It was his luck, Caleb decided, when he found Aaron in the showers, scrubbing at the glitter on his skin, his back turned away from the entrance to the rows of showers. He approached him slowly, savoring the view.
"Soap works better," he said after a long moment.
Aaron stiffened, his mouth falling open. He closed his mouth with a snap and glared at Caleb over his shoulder. "What the fuck are you doing in here? The stupid event's over, so there's nothing to stare at!"
Caleb chuckled. "Soap will get the glitter off faster," he said. He leaned against the tiled wall, the water droplets hitting his shirt. "Though I gotta say, glitter does seem to suit you."
"Get out!" Aaron turned away, his wet hair hanging in his face.
"Hmm, no," Caleb moved closer. "I paid a lot of money to see you 'dolled' up, I want my money's worth."
"You paid for this!" Aaron took a step back, a washcloth hanging from his hand. "I knew it! I knew there was no way she had that kind of money."
Caleb pushed Aaron to the tiled wall with one light press of his hand. "It was for a good cause," he smiled crookedly. He traced his thumb over Aaron's cheekbone, smoothing the last remnants of glitter from his skin.
"Stop..." Aaron sputtered, "Don't you dare touch me!"
"Just shut up for once," Caleb murmured, his mouth mere inches from Aaron's lips.
Aaron stared at him, the washcloth hanging limply from his fingers. "What...What're you doing?"
Caleb closed the distance between them, his lips sliding over Aaron's, swallowing any sound of protest from him. Aaron closed his eyes, the washcloth hitting the floor with a muted plop as Caleb nipped his lower lip. Aaron made a soft sound, tentatively returning the kiss.
Caleb backed away a moment later, tasting the hint of strawberry lip gloss that remained on Aaron's lips. "Not so bad, now was it?" he winked at Aaron.
"I..." Aaron looked away, words failing him.
Caleb rubbed his thumb over Aaron's cheekbone again, kissing him deeply. Aaron pulled him closer, holding on Caleb's arms, returning the kiss a bit angrily. When they parted, he rested his forehead to Caleb's, both breathing heavy.
"Think about it," Caleb whispered. He let go of Aaron and walked out of the showers, a slow smile curving his lips.
Aaron stood under the spray of the water, a trembling hand touching his still tingling lips.
