My dad came in from Louisiana on Friday. It was the most uneventful visit I've ever experienced. We did go to the aquarium, out to eat at Carabba's, and walking around the wetlands center... but that was pretty much it. At home my dad just sits around and watches TV all day. He seriously does nothing. Serge and I were bored to tears. As much as I love my dad, he's sure lazy as hell. That's why my mom divorced him. I promised myself at a young age that I would never be like that. I'm still glad he came... we probably won't see my LA family for awhile since we're moving so far away. I really miss my sisters and my nieces.
Last week I applied for a Guide position at ChaCha.com. I got accepted and have already made $10. Each question you answer is worth between .10 and .20 cents... I would never do this sort of thing if I didn't have the free time at work of course. It's very time consuming, and I hated doing it at home. But so far it's turned out to be a great way to make a little (very little) extra money to buy some stuff for myself. My goal is to make at least $45/month. That's not very much of course but it'll be enough to buy some new clothes every few months, or BPAL.
My birthday was great! I invited some folks out to The Highlander on Friday night... Me, Serge, John, Kimberly, Kelly, Heidi, Gael and Chris. We just sat around drinking beer and cracking jokes.. Chris has an amazing memory for fab 80s and 90s shows. We were both fans of the Wuzzles, which is totally awesome.. I've never met anyone else who knew what they were! Gael and I share a love for vegetarian "ribs", though he aggravated me by wearing that stupid Faith No More shirt just because he knew I hated them. Haha. I love my friends. I wish Laura and Jeff were able to come down! I miss you guys!!!
