American History X was on IFC last night. No matter how many times I watch it, I inevitably end up feeling quite depressed afterwards. It always leaves me with the same sort of feeling that I get after I watch Boys Don't Cry....

Anyway, it's been kind of a slow weekend. I've been avoiding people in favor of staying home and having some nice quiet time alone. Last night I just started re-reading "Written on the Body." It's a really interesting book, and it has so many "quotable quotes."

Chicago was really fun, even though it left me totally exhausted. My teacher originally told my class that we'd all have to stick together when we were outside on the street, but then he changed his mind and let us go wherever we wanted as long as we were with at least one other person. So I ended up just walking the streets with Ellen, Alex, and Tori and taking pictures. Everything went well, except for this one little incident when I got lost at Borders. My friends were going down the escalators, and I was going up the escalators, and...Yeah, it was an honest mistake that could happen to anyone! That's what I keep telling myself, anyways. ;-) At the end of the day we went to The Corner Bakery. I love that place, they make the *best* lattes. I uploaded some pictures onto imagestation if anyone's interested:

I hope everyone had a nice weekend!
