I sent in an application for a job last night.
This morning I was rung up by the company asking if I could come in for an interview.
It turned out the only time that could be done was today. Very fast. So, the interview went well, I think. I believe I sold myself well, however I am concerned that I sounded a bit fanatical. Still, we shall see.
The pro:
-less of the company politics that I have now
-at least an additional $2k in the bank
The con:
-May be way north metro
-No company car
-New situation, which may have new company politics
I should know by the end of the week, or early next week. Then I choose - who do I want to be with?
In other news, I met with the CEO today about one of his demands. I said I was looking for advice on how I can make it happen, so we reviewed my work load. Based on this, he suggested some changes, instructed others and kicked my bosses ass for allowing some other things.
All of which makes me feel like perhaps this could work as it stands. This makes me feel a bit conflicted about where I should be, how and why.
So, my dream for the future is that I am involved in a place, or run a place, that is a one stop holistic health shop. None of this "we don't do people like you", or "see these people first, sort out the [whatever] then come back to us". For this we would need to have on staff a social worker, GP, pscyhiatrist, alcohol and other drug worker, psychologist, naturapath, magic worker and non-denominational christian practitioner. Just to begin with.
I can see that I would have to work somewhere else for a while to increase my chances of reaching such a goal, but is this the place, and is this the time?
Can I get a house out of this? I would like one soon, thanks.
I also need to consider The Cub. If I am working way north, and The Cub goes to school way south, then that is a long trip to get her to and from school twice a week. Yikes!
So, what to do?
Of course, I won't stress to much until an offer for a job is made :-D
