I hate being sick. I don't handle it with as much aplomb as I used to...these days, it makes me wrathful.
Realized the other day that I missed journaling, just day-to-day recording of events. So, in no particular order:
1) holidays are upon us. This is a sad and a happy time. We miss Allen.
2) the girls are busy. Gwen was in Hawaii last week to march in the Pearl Harbor memorial parade. We watched it live via YouTube, which was fun. She's a good colorguard commander.
3) Rhiannon had two concerts this weekend with the Sierra Nevada's Children's Choir. Their trip was cancelled for this year, which is a shame. However, I wasn't looking forward to visiting West Virginia, so the money is probably better spent elsewhere anyway. The concerts were lovely, even if I felt like dying.
4) Have I mentioned I hate being sick? I think I have the flu. Lungs are all gummed up and painful. I was so sick on Saturday that I couldn't eat, and I threw up in the car before we got to the church for the concert. Fortunately nothing but tea, but still...gross...
5) Yesterday had Jesse's annual Christmas family brunch, complete with all three Reno kids, my family, Erin, Janeal, and Jeff and Marja. I love my family and friends! I was happy to see Judy and Dennis come. I hope Jesse and Judy can mend their relationship.
6) Need to get more discipline with my writing. It gets away from me and then it's hard to get back into it, whereas if I worked at it just a little bit everyday, it wouldn't be so hard.
OK, back to work. We'll see if I do this again before June.
