My Biological father died in 1980. He came from a pretty sick family I guess 'cause they all died young of some type of alcohol or drug thingie. My gene donor--Thomas S. died in a motel in Kansas all by himself. He was dead for six days before the neighbors complained of the smell. Recently, my mother got a phone call from a woman looking for me. Her mother was in a 20 years common law relationship with Stephan S. The older brother of Thomas. Apparently, Stephan girlfriend the caller's mom) has been put in a nursing home. The daughter is sorting through the her mom's stuff and finds some of Stephan's family stuff. Somewhere in it is my mom's and my name. She wants to send it to me 'cause she doesn't think Stephan has kids and she cant find anyone else for it. Initially, I was very excited. It is kinda like something that happens on TV. The box comes on Saturday. It is an old family album. There is lots of pictures of Thomas which I like. Thomas and Stephan seem to be the oldest so they have lots of pictures together. But then I realized I dont want it. I feel responsible for this family history, only I dont have any connection to the family other than the name. Most of the people I cant identify. My mom can pick out Thomas and his mom but that is it.
The daughter included a letter. Her mother abandoned her and she was raised by her dad. Stephan was an alcoholic and was violent. He had a nice side. He also died by himself, in a motel room, all alone fifteen years ago. He was on the run from a DWI arrest.
