you young kids may not remember the long box. cds use to come in long cardboard boxes witch made them fit in the slots made for 12" albums at record stores (kinda the same way dvds come in boxes the same size as vhs tapes). but anyway, all that extra cardboard was a big waste, and the environmentalist musicans fought against it and were actually successful in getting the long box banned (all muscians were environmentalists for a period of several weeks in 1991). they got together, they were firm, they fought, they won. you can thank yr local rock star for saving us all. also back then, we used to only get one phone book a year, and now we seem to get about eight or so a year, but that's ok, only people who hate america and wish to destroy freedom and liberty would complain about such a thing nowadays. i know i wouldn't.
