how to cook white yams
Hello! On a whim, I bought two white yams at the grocery store, and now I have no idea what to do with them. I know that in the United States, we use the terms 'sweet potato' and 'yam' interchangeably, but my understanding is that they are actually different, particularly with regards to texture, so I'm hesitant to just substitute them into a sweet potato recipe. If anyone can give me any recipes or tips for preparing these, I would be super appreciative. Thanks so much!
