Caramelized Onion Spaghetti Sauce!
Ingredients!
3-4 medium onions, cut in half lengthwise and sliced thinly
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
salt
pepper
1 can crushed tomatoes
1 can diced tomatoes
1 Tablespoon tomato paste
1 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp dried basil
Directions!
1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add the onions and saute for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Season with salt and pepper and keep cooking for at least 15 more minutes or until the onions are brown and smell oniontastic.
4. Add the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, and herbs.
5. Bring the heat down to low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
6. Slop onto some spaghetti (thin spaghetti works best), and OM NOM NOM NOM NOM!
