I've been baffled for a while as to what my local asian veg*n restaurants were using in their recipes as a main ingredientl; almost as a mock-meat. I've been a few places and always been really impressed by the food, yet unable to quite put my finger on what it was - but I think I've FINALLY worked it out: soy curls.
Does anyone know where I can buy me some of these? I'd love to try and start using them in my own recipies, yet have no clue where to get them. I've not seen them at my health food store, organic store or supermarkets (I'm in Australia!).
Any ideas? Are these marketed under the same name here in Australia as they are overseas?
Any experiences cooking with these?
