I'm not going to dare say anything about my luck changing, because that begs for something bad to happen...so I'm going to just say that things are certainly moving forward.
Tomorrow Alex has a job interview at Texas Instruments in the hopes of landing a good paying job. Mom is giving us a ride out there because the car they got for us is a stick shift...and neither one of us can drive it. While that really pissed me off yesterday, I got over it and realized I shouldn't be an ass and randomly get picky about a means of transportation. Alex is worried about tomorrow because he has to take some tests as part of his application, and he hasn't been in school for a good many years. I think it's over algebra, basic math and english? Not sure. Either way, I know I'd be stressed about the math part and I'm one of them there college kids.
I hate math.
My car should be better tomorrow. Should be. But I'm not holding my breath by any means. Oh, did I mention that I finished Game of Thrones? A friend at work is letting me borrow #2 in the series, A Clash of Kings. I have to give it back Monday. :( I've been hunting around on amazon to see if I can find a cheap hard cover, but it looks like the cheapest one that's in good condition is $10. I might have to hold off for now. Just til things get a bit brighter.
Speaking of buying stuffs, Shen's birthday is coming up very quickly. I know what I want to get her, but I think it's going to have to be late. :( Sorry, buddy head. Oh, before I forget, what kind of cake you want? You...you still eat cake, right? Does it need to be a soy, glucose free, organic cake? XDDDD (<333)
The kitchen is very clean right now and it makes me happy. I mopped today, did a good load of dishes, and cleaned some grime. At some point I need to hit the rest of the house. XD One day...one day.
Alex is sick...I think he got the summer flu or something. Drained, feverish, mopey...you know. I hope like hell it doesn't screw up tomorrow...dear Jebus we need this job.
