Holding Patterns

I have mentioned several times recently that I was interested in getting a home gym, but our garage needs work before it would be suitable to house expensive gym equipment. Last week, Ty asked me about putting it in the spare bedroom we had planned to make our nursery before my miscarriage a year ago. We had said when we got married, that we would put it in God's hands if we had a child or not. I had gotten pregnant almost immediately, but miscarried at 10.5 weeks and then again in the fall. I thought I was going on with life truly embracing the "if it happens fine, and if not fine" mentality, and had not even recognized where that wasn't true until he pointed it out. He asked specifically if I was ready to move out of the holding pattern we were in and move on with life. Not that we were shutting that door, we just weren't waiting for it to happen and holding parts of our lives/house in limbo. So last week, we moved the baby stuff that we had obtained (minimal) to the other spare bedroom, along with the storage and craft stuff that had accumulated in the room, and turned it into a home gym.

Personal reflection: Are there other areas of my life that are in a holding pattern waiting for something to happen instead of living in today?
