Today I got approved for my car loan. Yay! Banks don't give you much help when you go through this. They might charge less than the dealer, but they're no very nice. I ended up at a credit union which gave me like.. the best loan rate ever. They're also much nicer. I don't really want to divulge into why Credit unions pwn banks right now, if you're interested, there are many sites about it. I'm just happy to get my loan approval. I also opened up a chequing account with them. Their name is VanCity. I have $5 worth of shares with them so that means I own a piece of them. I get to vote on company stuff and the board of directors too. They gave me $10 for signing up and said for each person I refer, I get another $10. I used $5 of the $10 they gave me for shares. I have 1 share, lol. Man.. I feel like a pretty lucky 17-yearold to be having his own car.
Oh, and I just have to say this. It makes me feel good to see that all you Americans are back in school while us Canadians have our days off until Sept. 6. I laugh now, but then it comes back to haunt me when your summers strike first.
