Art for Art's Sake
Perfect vanilla sky tonight at 6:56. Violet and blazing orange. The whole time I was driving home I kept thinking of how I would paint it...impressionistic...truly inspiring. I felt like calling someone just to have them notice it.
Best news I have heard all week:
Dana is coming here July 24 until August 12th. She bought her plane ticket on Monday. There will be many adventures and DEUTSCH sprechen. Ich liebe Dana!
Also Justin is not going to Kosovo now, big relief. He's been in my thoughts and I'm glad to see everything has worked itself out.
Brown is not boring. I'm glad to be back.

I don't know whats sadder, Elliott Smith's wavering voice, his lyrics, or the fact that I'll never see my favorite musician play...EVER.
I've been on a big Bright Eyes kick lately. That would be my choice of band style I think. Poetic lyrics. Acoustic guitar. Whiny, wavering voice. Recording in my basement. There's something actually comforting in sadness. Listen to I Believe in Symmetry or Ship in a Bottle.
