MEW part 1- Mewseum performance
I was there. :')
MEWSEUM PERFORMANCE RECAP~
So this past Monday (08.31.09), I went to this "exclusive" MEW performance at Zune L.A. Space for the Mewseum (see previous entry). The only way to get in was to be "on the list." I got a confirmation with a +1. My sister also got the confirmation as well and she took a mutual friend (both of whom had recently gotten into Mew because of me). My +1 ended up being Brad, from NY, and from the Mew forum. I said why the hell not, he's a an, he asked first and I need a +1. He later ended up buying me the set of Mew prints for letting him be my +1. :)
Also, since he was there way earlier than us, we ended up being the first to get in and got awesome spots in front of the tiny stage. I was 3 ft. away from Jonas, he was in front of me! A man I admire.

They played a total of 4 songs (stripped performance):
New Terrain, Hawaii Dream (first time played live), Silas the Magic Car (first time played live), Symmetry
After the set, we all went to the exhibit (I bought a vinyl of their album for $15-cheap!) and we got to meet them. I took pictures w/ them and had them sign one of the promotional shots that was from the set of prints. My silver marker just about died when Jonas signed the picture, the marker had been put to good use, it practically went around the room as I let other frengers borrow it. Bo personalized mine :')
Jonas was the last one to come out, everybody waited for him. So when he finally came out he was practically swarmed, the security even moved closer to him, lol. Jonas is such a fragile looking man, you just want to hug him and tell him it's going to be alright.
You know, this crowd was very respectful. There was like a foot of space between us and the tage and no one pushed to get to the front, everyone was so nice.
omg, I almost forgot before the performance, they played the 3 videos from their 3 singles. Introducing Palace Players, Reapeaterbeater, & Beach :DDDDDD
I absolutely LOVED the video for Reapeaterbeater- it involved hypnotism and Bo in agony. GODDOMN, you will love this video when you see it, which according to Tero from the forum, it will be online sometime this week.
Beach was...strange. Some of the weird photos from the exhibit are actually stills from this video.
