Back from Manchester, where it was a good ten degrees colder yesterday evening than London was on Monday afternoon. Brr. Saw
Man Utd beat a Europe XI 4-3 :-)
Irritations: taxis arriving five minutes early while you're still putting your boots on; not getting a seat on the train for a couple of hours; idiots who can't behave appropriately at football matches (trust me, you don't want to piss off those stewards).
Good things: getting a room at a Travelodge less than ten minutes stroll from the station for £26; transport systems that understand the concept of giving people the information they need; Old Trafford - absolutely
fricking awesome.
The match was pretty good - an excellent first half, although a much tamer second half. It feels pretty good to be sat about fifty yards away when Ronaldo hits a prefect goal :-)
