update on fertility treatment
so today is cd 25 for me and my follicles jumped from yesterday! the biggest one had been 13 and is now 19. i finally have a mature follicle for the first time in my life i think...im pretty excited about that. what im NOT excited about is that theres 9 others that are potentially almost mature..the RE wanted me to do IVF tonight but i talked about it with mh and he feels we are not financially ready to spend that kind of money right now. we both agreed that if this cycle or the next one doesnt work, we will take a break and save for a few months then move to IVF. the dr was ok with this. so she decided to have me do a shot every 12 hrs of lupron and do a post coital tomorrow to see how things are going. if nothings getting through the cervix then she recommends iui.
her other suggestion was to donate half my eggs, because then the ivf procedure and meds are covered 100% by them. this is definatly something id need to consider if things dont work this cycle.
so today my e2 was 1800. it doubled from yesterday. i dont know what the other bloods were.
she said theres a 15% chance of things working this cycle. well see. im going to be cautiously optomistic..i just dont want to wind up with 9 babies! but really, i dont think there are very high odds of that happening..i guess well see what tomorrow brings!!
