House, ‘Teamwork’
Cameron. Wtf, Cameron?
Ok, honestly, I never liked her character when she worked for House. First she was too busy ogling him and making school-girl puppy eyes at him, then she was busy trying to prove she doesn’t care about him by being appalled by everything he did, etc. After that was over and done with, she became okay to me-mainly when she started sleeping with Chase. During season 4 I was mostly neutral about her, and I actually started liking her during season 5.
This episode did nothing to conjure any warm feelings towards her.
First, she forgave Chase, which made me happy-though I was worried about them leaving the hospital, because, hello, DNW.
What really bugged me was her treatment of the patient. I mean, seriously. He’s a porn star, so that means he’s immoral? Get a grip. Also, the way she (and Chase, in that one scene) doubted the patient’s commitment to his wife because he sleeps with other people. This really rubbed me the wrong way, mainly because I believe in open relationships. Sure, I get that it’s not for everyone, and I love to agree to disagree, but honestly doubting the validity of their relationship just because it’s not your cup of tea, and passing such harsh judgment? Not cool.
Anyway.
I’m so disappointed at how easily she threw away her relationship with Chase. Yes, he killed a man, and I could write a whole philosophy PhD dissertation about whether it was the right or wrong thing to do, but. The point remains that she left him while he needed her the most. So much for her “I love you no matter what”.
I did love her last scene with House. Gotta hand it to Jennifer Morrison for doing a great job there, and I’m sad to see her go.
I am, however, super-psyched for this upcoming Monday. I love the new team, and I’m so excited to see how the dynamic will play out. Also-here’s to hoping for Thirteen/Chase, because, umm, HOT. I wants it.
Supernatural, ‘Abandon All Hope’
WOW, guys. First off- HOW THE HELL ARE WE SUPPOSED TO SURVIVE A 2-MONTH HIATUS?
So much has been said about this episode already, and I pretty much agree with everything.
Supernatural finally had a less-than-hetro moment, OMG! About freaking time, too. Dean/Cas is next.
Castiel is a badass mofo and would make a stellar model. I could gush all day about how freaking GORGEOUS Misha is, but we all know that, don’t we?
But, omg, Misha-Marksha scenes were FANTASTIC. There needs to be more of them next year.
Ellen and Jo - :`(
Good God, those scenes were absolutely heart breaking, and both Alona and Samantha did a fabulous job. I am so sad to see them go.
When Jo got attacked by the hellhounds, I was actually worried that Ellen may blame Dean since Jo ran to save him. But I’m really glad she didn’t, and the way the whole thing was done was absolutely heart-wrenchingly beautiful, well acted and overall well done.
Also, you amazing Alona Tal, how do you not have the faintest trace of an accent? I’m jealous and ilu.
Oh, just one thing-I didn’t quite catch how Cas got Meg in the holy fire? I saw he was screwing the pipes and stuff, but I’m still kind of confused? And why the hell didn’t Meg, like, move away from the burning ring of fire? Not that I’m complaining here, because Cas was badass and looked good doing it.
