The third book in the 1632 series is out, 1634: The Galileo Affair. Eric Flint has big plans for this series, and at this point things will be splitting as it turns into a shared universe. There's mention of a Ring of Fire anthology, as well as three more novels set in the year 1634: 1634: The Baltic War, 1634: Escape from the Tower, and 1634: The Austrian Princess. There is a further one with the working title of 1634: Bohemia, which is set after 1634: The Baltic War.

Not only is this going to be a shared universe, it will be a multiverse. Mr. Flint is planning on writing 1781 where an even larger Assiti shard transplants George Washington, Frederick the Great, and their armies into the Roman Empire during the "third century crisis."

Also, he will be coauthoring a novel with Sarah Hoyt, By Any Other Name. Part of the novel is set in Elizabethan England, but the rest of it will take place in another universe entirely. The subject is the Assiti themselves and the initial clash with humanity.

There's a forthcoming roleplaying game set in the 1632 universe. See http://www.battlefieldpress.com/1632.htm for more information.

Also in the alternate history department is Keith Roberts' Pavane, set in an earth where Elizabeth I of England was assassinated and the Spanish Armada triumphed, allowing the Spanish conquest of England. Have patience if you choose to read it: it unfolds slowly, measure by measure, over three generations, and you will not have all the information to unravel the plot until the end.
