Yeah, I talked to Diana about this matter and she only had so much to say about the issue and I only had so much to say back. None of this back and forth bickering is changing anything. Period.
We, [me, Meg, Annie, any and all Grugers, and several others], have continuously "fought" our "side" of this battle and Joel has "fought" his "side", in which he tries to speak for Diana, and Diana hasn't really said much. Has anyone else noticed this and see the problem here? This has been going on for over a year. This particular argument isn't just about Diana choosing to quit TR and take a different approach at finishing high school. Everything is personal with this problem and any others from the past because NO ONE approves of/likes/agrees with/enjoys Joel, Diana's relationship with him, her personal changes since she's met him, and everything bad that has happened since they've met. NOTHING is changing. [Sadly.]
So, now what? I know what I'm doing to try and salvage this friendship because I know plenty of her other friends have already given up. I hope her family members don't give up. Please, everyone, make your own game plan to continue a good relationship with Diana. Talking will be the first step.
Really the only thing I m saying is that I don’t talk for Diana, I talk for Joel. I talk what I feel because this is how I deal with the choices of my girlfriend. I do not agree with her choice, but I will not EVER do what you PEOPLE have done, you were once her family, but it is pretty clear to see that you are not. You are simple an obstacle in her life rather than a hand to help push it. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for the way you have treated Diana. This was a hard decision for her, and she doesn’t need the poor negative criticism that you have all put on her. In this how matter I have found that only a few people are on Diana’s side, why don’t you all do yourself and Diana a favor. Be on her side for a change and help her along.
These are my choices and I am living with them. I am doing what is best FOR ME. It may be out of the norm, but anyone that knows and understands me knows i'm nothing near normal to begin with. I'm a horse of a different color. However, since this change has come along, i have had nothing but grief come my way, some from people who aren't even around for me, Who don't even live here. It upsets me to know my family is filled with such hatred toward someone I love. Someone who is just stating an OPINION. I speak for myself, i am not 'coaxed' by some puppeteer. This is my decision. I am NOT dropping out, i am simply choosing an alternate means of educuation in order to solve a problem, or road block in my life. I would never set myself up for a fall. This is Diana, this is MY life, this is who I am, and what I am doing.
