Rowing/School

Oct 22, 2004 22:33

OBSESSED with listening to the same songs over and over really loud, right now. My poor neighbours. lol.
Well the week has gone well.
Rowing, school.
You know: the usual.

Rather uneventful.

Rowing...
Our result in the LPR suprised me. Good suprise though. Never thought we'd come 4th.
It was only with a lot of encouragement that Liz kept going. I guess she's learning, so congrats to her for staying with it.
I'm reallylooking forward to doing a pair trial with Allison. It was unfortuante we tried twice today to get out there, and that didn't work. Right now we're thinking of going out after Saturday practice. (this would be before the "Jamboree" of course). I know I can go fast with her.
... the FUNFETTI cake is baking right now. AJ! lol.
Tom Terharr also replied to my email! yipee! He's hoping to come to Seattle some time this Fall, "to talk" -- which is so so awesome!
O, I want to represent the USA, and row at the Olympics sooooooo badly. (I guess right now I should work on short-term goals like, you know, making the V8 for Portland!) But after THAT, the Olympics.

School...
Nothing exciting. No eleaboration required. School is school. ha.

My sister had her 1st regatta of the season today (I say "regatta" but today that meant racing 350m on the Torrens. Not quite the 2000m at West Lakes it will be soon). I'm very excited for her -- this is her first year (of 2) in the 1st VIII. As she is now in year 10, that officially makes her a part of the, "senior team." (this is season #4, after spending 3 rowing in quad sculls). She rowed 6 seat today. Go Katie! I'm so proud of her, and I'm always missing her and thinking about what she's up to. She is growing up so fast! For sure the next two years will be extremely busy - but exciting - for her. Well, I could talk about Kate forever. Don't really have time to start off on a tangent right now though.

And the oven is beeping at me. better go check the cake...
