Friday -- Yippee!!!
Today is a MUCH better day!!! That chicken soup with dumplings works wonders. I actually slept better than I have in a very long time. On a dream venture helped my dear friend Hope track down something she lost yesterday that was inordinately valuable! She found it, where I told her she might want to look. Thank all the Gods!!!!
It is Friday and it is Nevada Day. For all of you outside Nevada, it is a state holiday. Actually, October 31 is the real day we were made a state and all the courts are closed (excepting the Federal Courts who don't recognize state holidays) and most law firms too .... excepting of course my new office. Ho hum .... lots of people took it off anyway because the schools are closed and their kids are home, but here I sit twidling my thumbs, waiting for 4 p.m. so I can go home. I'm not taking a lunch so I can leave early.
I have some estimators coming to the house to see how much security bars will cost. Since my bulldog is allergic to dogs, my "guard dog" is going to a new home. Home security system in place and all, I'd still feel better knowing someone couldn't kick my door(s) in.
Looking forward to some parties this weekend. Some of my new friends from work are having a party tomorrow night and then there's another party I am hoping to go to afterwards. *Crossing fingers*
I am sure I will write more later as the pace of the day doesn't seem to be picking up at all ..... Grrrraaahhhhh ... I hate being bored.
