San Franscisco upscale dining

I'll be attending a conference for work in June in San Fran, and am in desperate need of restaurant suggestions. Normally, we take clients and prospective clients out to 5 star steak houses for dinner meetings, but I thought I just might have more alternatives than that in San Fran. We'll be staying at Hotel Nikko and I wasn't terribly impressed with the menu of the resident restaurant, Anzu, but I do need to stay within a reasonably short cab ride from the hotel. Can anyone give me any suggestions for venues in which to schedule my meetings that have at least more than one vegetarian entree I can veganize?
