Hey guys. I am not sure if this post is a little unconventional (I've never posted before), but I read an article today which I wanted to share with everyone, especially those of us who are animal lovers:
They are extinct in the wild but there are breeding populations in captivity which are not at risk of being killed for their horns which will hopefully go on to help with a re-release of these species once their habitat can be properly protected, so there is still hope!
It depends on how you decide to class them scientifically, the Black rhino species is in captivity, but the sub species mentioned in the article isnt. Wiki states that both the subspecies and the species mentioned are extinct whereas there are actually 8 where I work lol.
