Eagles honor Michael Vick with Ed Block Courage Award.

So making a shitload of money after getting out of jail and refusing invites to advocate for the dogs you harmed is what passes for courage these days. Good to know.

Ironically, this award is in honor of an advocate for abused children.

I am so disgusted by the NFL (and in particular The Eagles) handling of the Vick situation. Yuck.

Tell me about it. I'm a big football fan but this has really turned me off.

I live near Philly, and the Eagles used to be my NFC team of choice (I'm a Patriots fan, but I always like to have a team in the other conference.) I was so appalled that they (or anyone, really) signed him.

Yeah, between the Eagles signing Vick and the Phillies' support of wife-beater Brett Myers, Philly sports aren't looking so great lately!

Ed Block Courage award? I've never heard of that before, but he should not be getting any award for courage. He needs to be honored with a 'Block upside the Head' award.

That's because humans are more important than animals, duh!

Terrible that he's getting so much support.
