Columbia University, NYC
I know there are many NYC posts, as well as supervegan.com as a resource, but hopefully it's okay I ask for recommendations:
Next weekend I'm going to NYC to visit my friend at Columbia University / look at Columbia's Master's of Social Work Program. I've only been to NYC once before, and loved having so many vegan eating options (If I have time to myself, I want to go back to Red Bamboo so badly!) This time though, I'm going to be staying with my friend who is not receptive to veg food (very "meat and potatoes", picky eater). I'm not sure if we'll go out to eat or eat in, since I know all I can probably eat at her place is pasta or pb&j, so I just want to know my options. I also might be going out to eat on a casual date with a guy, who seems to be a picky eater, and has not really had food with me (except going out for pizza, and I've made him pancakes and cupcakes).
What are some restaurants near Columbia that are vegan-friendly, but also have omni food? Or all veg places nearby, if I want to just pick something up to eat? Thanks!
