(no subject)
This is purely hypothetical, as it's not even in the planning stages yet, but if I were to take a year or so to drive around N. America and protest and work with assorted AR groups all over the place, how many of you would be willing to let me use your shower?
I've been thinking about doing this for a while now. It would give me a chance to get out and see the country/continent, and work with different AR groups and see how different people have different methods and what-not. I'd be relying entirely on internet contacts for where to go, and I'd have no problem living out of my car, but places to shower would be nice, too. Heck, I might end up liking a place so much I decide to stay.
I wasn't going to start even thinking seriously about this yet, but my fiance just dumped me today, so I have nothing really keeping me from doing this any more, and my wanderlust is growing. I still need to find a job and save up for it, and a laptop, but I might as well find out where I'm going so I can figure out what I'm going to need for gas and food. So needless to say, I probably won't even be finalizing anything for a good long time.
So yeah, if you're an activist and I could visit you, or if you're in the area of activists and I could wash my butt in your shower, just let me know where you are so I could start drawing a map.

ETA: You all are so awesome, thank you! Over the next few months I'm going to figure out a route and budget and time line and then it'll be a matter of saving money. This might not happen for quite a while, but I think I really want to do it. :]
