Is it my imagination, or was there once a time when dark chocolate, by definition, was chocolate without any milk or milk products in it? I was surprised when I discovered dairy products listed as ingredients in so-called dark chocolates. If my impression of dark chocolate having once automatically meant "no dairy"--does anyone know when the definition was changed? And is it a strictly US phenomenon, or elsewhere, too?
