A shelter in Macomb County is selling their cats--some of which may have had homes but were taken off the streets--to class b dealers. Please call the numbers towards the bottom and protest this outrage!

It's copied-and-pasted, so bear with it, please!

PLEASE CROSS POST THIS FAR AND WIDE! PUT IT ON EVERY FACEBOOK, TWITTER, YAHOO, CATSTER AND ANY OTHER WEBSITE YOU CAN FIND OR ARE A PART OF!!!! CALL YOUR CONGRESSMEN AND CONGRESSWOMEN NOW AND YES! CALL THE PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This might reach someone that knows him so forward and forward and act now!

Many of you will say I have 'Gone off my rocker'. I have not! I am just at the point where I cannot stand by and hear much more bullshit in todays society. This is AMERICA! I SERVED THIS COUNTRY FOR YEARS AND FOR WHAT???? THIS??? IT IS TIME ANIMAL LOVERS UNITE AND DEFEND!

My niece's story!

My niece (who needs to remain anonymous) went to the Macomb County, Clinton Township shelter to adopt a cat. This shelter is run by convicts (I know some are great and real animal lovers), but the convicts at this shelter HATE cats. She found two that she wanted at first and went to get the money and stuff to adopt. She comes back hours later, not days, hours later and the cats are not available and the convict cat hating jerk behind the counter gives her the runaround. She told him that she wanted those cats and more than one person in the shelter knew those cats were getting a home. Turns out that the convicts made a deal with class B dealers known as R & R Research, which is based in Howard City, Mich. came in after her and put a hold on the cats to be taken to research. THE CATS WERE STILL IN THE BUILDING WHEN SHE WAS BACK TO PICK THEM UP!!!!!!!!!!! They knew those cats were safe and did not need to go to a research facility. No cat needs to go to a research facility.

This is the information that I have found about them.... R & R Research has been cited by the USDA for Animal Welfare Act (AWA) violations multiple times since 1997.
In a report dated March 2005, a USDA inspector cited the facility for "receiving [sic] stray cats from the city of Howard City, which has no animal pound or shelter." According to the USDA, when obtaining live random source dogs and cats from shelters, Class B dealers may do so "only from state, county and city owned or operated animal pounds or shelters."
The USDA has also documented a number of owned pets at the R & R Research facility, some of whom were sold to research facilities. Between August 1995 andDecember 2002, USDA inspectors noted six microchipped dogs and one cat at the facility. Three of these pets were returned to their owners and four were sold to a research facility. It is impossible to know how many owned pets who did not have microchips, or were not scanned for microchips, were sold by R & R Research to research facilities instead of being returned to their owners.

For this reason, the County Commissioners have not renewed their contract, but guess what, the cat hating convicts are still refusing to scan cats and still send EVERY PUREBRED CAT THAT IS TAKEN IN TO RESEARCH BEFORE THEIR OWNERS OR ANOTHER ADOPTER CAN BE FOUND!!!!!!!

I ALSO JUST FOUND OUT THAT TWO DEVON REX CHILDREN (YOUNG ONES) RECEIVED THE SAME FATE THIS PAST WEEKEND AND CAN STILL BE SAVED IF WE GET THEM TO RELINQUISH THEM BACK TO THE PERSON THAT WENT IN TO RESCUE THEM FOR DRRL. DRRL CALLED AND WAS GIVEN THE RUNAROUND WHEN THEY WENT TO PICK THEM UP. JUST HOURS AFTER THEY WERE TOLD THE DEVONS WOULD BE PICKED UP AND ALL FEES PAID!!!!!!!!!! THERE IS PROOF AND WE NEED TO FIGHT THESE CAT HATING SON OF A BIATCHS!!!! HARD! Let them know that we have photos and information about these cats and they still have a home waiting. So do the two long haired Maine Coons that my niece wanted.

PLEASE CALL AND COMPLAIN, WRITE LETTERS. I ALWAYS READ THAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE NICE. IF YOU ARE CALLING THE SHELTER, PLEASE BRUSH UP ON YOUR PROFANITY (I AM).
