Info on the number of animals made into clothing?

Does anyone know where I can find information regarding how "x-amount of animals are killed to make a leather coat/pair of shoes/fur coat/etc?" I've looked everywhere and I'm not finding the definite numbers

I believe a lot of meat eaters are non sympathetic to leather etc as it is believed to be a general by-product of the meat industry.

I completely agree with you on this one. I'm not even sure if these handouts will have any impact since most of her customers ARE meat eaters, but the owner of the shop has a very "trying and failing is better than not trying at all" mentality and she's asked me to run this project for her. I'd rather appease her and try to gather the info rather than object to trying to do the research on the basis that no one will care about her handouts.
