Birthday Ideas?
I've dabbled in veganism for about two years, but now I'm finally taking the plunge. My birthday is coming up next month and I know my parents will want to do something. My mom is not an avid baker who usually uses cake mixes. She's not very receptive to my dietary choices and is incredulous involving all things "weird" (from dried beans to egg-free French toast).
Should I volunteer to make the cake (probably the Versunkener Apfelkuchen from JOVB) or should I find her an accidentally vegan mix and ask her to use applesauce (the least "weird" of the binders)?
