does anyone have a really hard time going to the doctor?
i'm on medical assistance because i can't even begin to think to afford medical care, so my pcp was chosen for me.
well, the first time i went for a checkup, i had a great doctor. she's a female, which makes me really comfortable around her, really sweet, supportive of my diet (with minor concerns, she made me bring in the vitamins i take, and keep a list of what i ate for two weeks to make sure i wasn't unhealthy). unfortunately, she's on maternity leave now, so i'm stuck with her partner.
first off, i had strep throat, and he prescribed me medicine. i asked if it were possible to get something without gel caps, and he said no, straight out. no discussion. no options. just no. then, he started giving me shit about being vegan. he was like "i really don't even condone vegetarianism. i just don't think it's a healthy option, and can cause many complications."
he made me do all kinds of tests and blood work. it was ridiculous.
then while sitting in the office, i notice huntingdon on all of the soaps, etc.
is this the same huntingdon as in huntingdon life sciences?! or am i just really paranoid?
also, he sent me to a gynecologist, and while waiting for her in her office, i started reading the back of a bottle of lube (i know this is kind of gross), but anyways... GLYCERIN.
luckily i didn't have an appointment for a pap just some discussion.
what do i do? how do i deal with this?!
