Voting Republican is NOT vegan. Conservatives have long supported policies that are detrimental to wildlife and the environment. your vote this november and every election, should reflect your lifestyle accordingly.

voting isn't vegan

do you really think imperialist capitalism is conducive to the rights of all life?

as i stated in other replies, is NOT voting going to change that? no, there is still going to be an imperialist capitalist system in place, but one is going to be MORE detrimental to the environment and wildlife than the other.

obviously my post is directed at the upcoming elections in the united states, i dont see how that really makes a difference in the argument.

and yes any american political party is going to contribute to the devastation of the planet, but one significantly more so and faster than the other.

there are many things in ALL of our lives that are negatively impacting the planet including using a computer, but baby steps my friend. there is a saying "rome wasn't built in a day" well im for revolution, not reform, but you need to change public opinion before that can ever happen.

you fail to see the FACT that no capitalist party has real interest in saving the planet, because it costs too much. profit > environment in capitalism. if you can't understand that CAPITAL (money) is the root of the word capitalism, you shouldn't even be allowed to discuss it.

off topic (maybe not so much): I'm from america, but I'm not from the u.s.a.
so he's not the only one who should check the americentrism...

by voting I am agreeing that the institution I'm voting for is legitimate!

igivesafuck October 10 2008, 22:24:03 UTC
so are you validating capitalism by using the internet? you validate the very institution you are fighting everyday. think about it.

Absurd. Absolutely absurd.

What, then, is a chinese dissident, sending anti-government information to wikileaks? A government supporter? Ha!

This must mean that in china, I'm a communist supporter, and in antarctica, I support nothing. Who knew nihilism could be a state? (pun intended)

i'm just trying to keep up with absurdity levels you've been benchmarking.

no, you're creating a straw man, actually. you're not keeping up with anyone's anything.

the internet is a technological advancement, not a political stratagem or ideological party.

the internet is build on infrastructure that is supported by capitalism and devastates the environment.

The internet is a tool that can be used against capitalism by spreading the word out and getting more people more organized and ready.

Just because its a part of the master's tool box doesn't mean you can't use it to dismantle his house.
