i've had my problems with the new york post's columnist andrea peyser for awhile now.
shes just a nasty crazy person.
but this, this little two part series thing she has going has really put her over the top now.
for those of you that don't live in new york, i'll summarize the situation.
this guy is now facing sentencing for killing his girlfriend's cat last year. the guy claimed it was "self defense" against a seven pound cat that was FULLY DECLAWED. the woman rebuffed him and went to her room alone, thus leaving him out in the living room alone with her cat. so it sounds like this guy was pissed, had issues and decided to take all of this out on poor norman the cat. he had ONE SMALL CUT on his finger to back up his 'self defense claim'.
the cat was examined by a vet after who found that he had fractured ribs, organ ruptures, his tongue was cut in two, all sorts of horrible etc.'s and what had to have happened was the guy had to literally picked the cat up and slammed him down a few times.

here is ms. peyser's first comment about this brutal slaying.
really? isn't that a little extreme, ms. peyser?
ms. peyser's retort: no. let me write a whole nother column the next day too about this.
so my question to all of you is if you read both of these columns, do you think shes joking? am i just a bleeding heart liberal, is ms. peyser actually trying to be funny with an EXTREMELY tasteless joke? or do you think this woman actually believes this?
i just really can't believe that a major newspaper would run this, that someone would have the GALL to write this, joke or not.
not that i go to the post for my major news needs, but when i read the daily news article about this, i cried. i literally cried on the subway.
and here this bitch is telling me, again joke or not, that because i think torturing a cat is fucking too disgraceful to even joke about (i'm really giving her the benefit of the doubt here) i'm just a goddamn 'cat lady'?
